Jackson has led our room by example and shown everyone what hard work truly looks like. These past three years have been an absolute blast, bud.

Tonight was his last official 3FWC practice before he heads off to Indiana University, but we still have one more ride together.

Huge shoutout to Mila Juarez and Jackson Shipley for being named Austin American Statesman Athletes of the Year 2026.

What an incredible honor and a true reflection of the work, consistency, leadership, and toughness you both show day in and day out. State champions, leaders in the room, and now recognized as two of the best in Austin.

3FWC is proud of you both. You earned every bit of this. Now let’s go get some stop signs.

Big thank you to Coach Will McKinney for coming back to 3F and pouring into our wrestlers this weekend.

Coach Will founded 3FWC in 2009, and it is always special having him back in the room. His knowledge, energy, and ability to connect with athletes is something our wrestlers can learn from far beyond just technique.

We appreciate him sharing his time, his stories of old 3F, experiences as OCU Head Coach, and his insight into what it takes to wrestle at the next level.

Thank you to all the wrestlers who showed up ready to learn, compete, and get better. Opportunities like this matter.

3. Olivia Moreno, Bowie Wrestling

“It’s one thing to call yourself a three-time UIL state wrestling champion. It’s quite another thing to boast a record of 101-0 during that span. Moreno was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the state meet her senior season with the Bulldogs, in 2023.”

Olivia Moreno started wrestling as a freshman. Her coachability is what set her apart, along with her relentless pursuit to improve daily. She had 12 losses, all of them her freshman year. After that, she rattled off three straight undefeated seasons, ending her high school career as a Fargo All-American, U20 All-American, Women’s Showcase All-American, 3X undefeated state champion and ranked #5 in the country.

She set the bar in our room, and our girls are better for it.

This had me thinking about our current 3FWC girls and how they continue to develop.

Lucy Clarno, a rising junior, started wrestling in 7th grade and is already a two-time state placer and a Freshman State Champ.

Mila Juarez, a rising senior, did not place at regionals her freshman year and is now a two-time State Finalist and a State Champ.

Joanna Henry, a rising junior, started wrestling as a freshman and is already a two-time state placer, finishing 5th and 3rd.

All of the 3FWC ladies understand the legacy and are crushing it.

Thank you for your leadership, Mrs. Olivia, and the standard you set.

2026 Annual Middle School Sports Awards -- Canyon Ridge Middle School.

Raelyn made her mark this year not only with some big wins on the mat, but also in multiple school sports. Go Raelyn! .

We will have Coach Will McKinney in town for a clinic on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.

Coach Will founded 3FWC in 2009. He left us in 2018 and is now the Head Coach at Oklahoma City University. We love getting the chance to pick Coach Will’s brain, and for those of you thinking about wrestling in college, he is a great resource to ask questions and get insight from a college head coach.

We are bringing him to you so you do not have to travel for this eight-hour instruction session.

Reminder there will be no practice this weekend on Sunday, May 24th or Monday, May 25th for Memorial Weekend.

Huge congratulations to Charlie Trujillo on his commitment to Brown University.

Charlie will be taking his academic and athletic future to one of the most respected universities in the country, and we could not be more proud of him.

Charlie has always carried himself the right way. His commitment to academics, his leadership in the room, and his consistency on the mat have set him apart. He is a 4x State Qualifier and a 3x State Placer, finishing 3rd, 3rd, and 3rd. That kind of consistency does not happen by accident. It comes from showing up, doing the work, and staying committed to the process year after year.

Charlie has been a leader for 3FWC, not just because of what he has accomplished, but because of how he has done it. He leads with effort, toughness, humility, and consistency. He raises the standard for those around him.

Brown University is getting a great wrestler, a great student, and an even better young man.

Congrats Charlie. We are proud of you and excited to watch you take this next step.
