Safety tips:

🐍Keep an eye your children and your pets closely, especially during cooler evenings and earlier in the morning. Snakes are most active when temperatures are in the 70s and 80s.

🐍Seeing ONE snake doesn't necessarily mean there are more. Don't panic.

🐍Baby snakes are NOT MORE dangerous than adults. They may bite more quickly, but they can control the amount of venom they inject.

🐍Avoid using snake repellents like mothballs or essential oils. These methods are ineffective and can harm the environment and other animals.

🐍If you're bitten by a snake, GO to the hospital right away. Catching the snake is not necessary for proper treatment. All pit vipers in our area are treated with the same antivenom.
