219-home single-family rental community coming to Hutto Adding to the diversity of housing options in the rapidly growing city of Hutto, officials have approved a new 219-home community to move forward.

Home sales declined 9% across the Austin-Round Rock Area for July. Some are prompt to conclude the housing market may be stabilizing. I'll reserve judgment for now. Typically end of Summer is a slow-down time. This did not happen last year I would venture because of the pandemic, and schools not reopening. Moreover appraisals of homes, required for financed transactions be they purchases OR REFINANCING, are obscene bottlenecks, delaying closings, almost invariably. Not necessarily criticizing Appraisers, there are just so many of them, and are overwhelmed. This may be the cause for transactions that should've closed in July, have not, thus casting doubt, at least to me on the assertion.
