ImprovCon is THIS week in my hometown of San Diego, and I’m super excited! Yael Yael Schy and I are teaming up again to teach “Yes And... Across Generations: Breaking Down Age Barriers in Improv Troupes & Classes.” Even better, it’s free, which feels pretty perfect for a workshop about breaking down barriers.
And here’s a first for me, my kids are going to see me perform improv for the very first time with Deep Dish!
Huge gratitude to my friend Chris Colthurst Chris 'Jazz' Colthurst and the whole ImprovCon team. I’m really proud of what they’ve built and all the work it took to make this happen.
The schedule is PACKED. I’ll be catching some improv greats, taking a workshop, and otherwise following my feet and seeing where the weekend takes me.
There are still tickets and day passes available. If you’re going to be there, come find me, say hi, and let’s play.

“I left you alone with my attendees for an hour… and when they were done with you, it was literally an ENTIRELY different group of people.”
This is why I love this work.
When you give people a chance to drop the usual work roles, play together, and connect differently, something shifts.
They talk. They laugh. They take risks. They see each other differently.
And underneath all that play, they’re practicing.
Listening. Communicating. Collaborating. Adapting. Trying something new without needing to get it perfect.
That’s what makes these workshops more than a fun break. Your team gets an experience they’ll remember while practicing skills they can take back to work.
If your team could use that, I’d love to chat.
Learn more about my workshops and schedule a conversation at the link in my bio!
Thanks for the nomination! I say YES to more recess and play!
you’re it!

May brought a noticeable shift in pace, and I loved the rhythm of it. With the schedule picking up, the month held such a good mix of personal and professional moments on the calendar.
It was full in a way that felt energizing, meaningful work, time with people I love, and the everyday moments that helped me stay present in the middle of it all. Heading into June feeling stretched in the best ways and ready for what this next season holds.

Turns out the class clown had the highest EQ all along...
You think emotional intelligence is something you’re born with.
Science says you can train it, through play.
A study of 325 adults found a direct link between playfulness and emotional intelligence. The more playful you are, the better you manage your emotions, read others, and handle pressure.
Most adults stopped playing.
Then wondered why they feel emotionally drained.

Year 2 of is in the books and my heart is so full of joy. 🥹 It has been a labor of love and I'm honored that I got to work alongside such an incredible group of humans to put together an experience that celebrates unique minds. The weekend was a blur and I'm still processing everything, but I will remember the comments like "I found my people." Now I rest and power up. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the weekend!

January, you were a lot of things, but mostly you were intentional.
Burning old habits, building new things with my son, and making time for the people who matter most…this month was a reminder that progress ALWAYS beats perfection.
Grateful for the community, the laughs, and the quiet breakfast dates in between. 2026 is off to a beautiful start!
