Less than a year after walking the stage, McCombs School of Business grad Alejandra Valles is already putting her degree to work in a big way. It was there, digging into financial models, variance reports and month-end processes, that she built the skills she now relies on every day.
"I worked with real financial information, financial models, variance reports and month-end processes," Alejandra said. "This exposure prepared me for the reporting requirements of a public health agency."
Beyond the technical skills, that student job taught her something just as valuable, accountability, communication and how to show up in a professional workplace. Proof that the experience you gain on campus can shape the career you build after it.
