Elevate Haiti Initiative

BHM has a new name: "Elevate Haiti Initiative." We are advancing the Gospel in Haiti through faith, education, health care.

SERVITUDE
To serve is to replicate Christ, for “the son of man did not come to be served but to serve”. We believe that effective ministry is rooted in serving others as Jesus did. It is our desire that our service would be an extension of God’s love to those whom we serve, and and we pray that our actions would draw other people to Himself. In seeking to do this we also hope that our actions may

inspire others to do the same. There are various ways in which one man can serve another. BHM’s hospital, clinics, and medical outreaches seek to serve the medical needs of the people of Haiti, while the employment that Mountain Maid provides for local artisans and families serve their economical needs. We serve people’s physical needs by aiding in the construction and repair of houses and churches. These are just a few examples of how are ministries are serving others future of Baptist Haiti Mission. DISCIPLESHIP
We are spurred on by the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20 to encourage discipleship in the people of Haiti. Just as Christ mentored and instructed his own disciples we desire to see the fostering of spiritual maturity among the people of Haiti. As the individuals of the church are equipped and empowered so also will the church be strengthened, which will spur on the church to be strengthened. This will then motivate further development of new disciples, which creates an ever growing cycle of individual and church development. Education is a strong base of which discipleship can be built upon. BHM works with over 300 elementary schools to provide a Biblical education for the children of Haiti. BHM also runs youth camps designed to equip the youth of Haiti in faith to better contribute to their churches and communities. These are just a view examples of how are ministries are encouraging discipleship. DEVELOPMENT
We regard the local church as the most effective component in spreading the gospel of Christ. As a result, we seek to aid in the development of local churches so they may be equipped for every good work that God wills them to do, to be autonomous: to serve the needs of the people, to make disciples, and to participate in the development of other churches. It is our desire to continue to see the church increase in its ministry as we partner with them.

Elevate Haiti Initiative is honored to receive a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to support the establishment of technology centers across Haiti.

In partnership with the Ministry of National Education, these centers will help train teachers and strengthen instructional capacity, while expanding access to digital learning resources nationwide.

This investment reflects a shared commitment to educators and to the long-term advancement of Haiti’s education system.
