Wanted to share this beautiful picture taken by Marshall Johnson on our team, he is often the photographer behind the camera or drone, and when you work as much as he does, you often get to see the sunrise and the sunset at a job site. This one was taken this week at the Calvary Baptist Church in McAllen, TX, just after completing the first (264 kW) of three installations at the site. Thanks for capturing the moment Marshall!

Here is a follow up drone photo of the install in Fort Worth. The project included 1,056 panels for a grand total of 23,466 sq. ft. of solar PV on the roof. Perspective is a funny thing!

The crew is wrapping up this commercial project in the Fort Worth area. This time is a 411 kW roof top on a distribution center in the City of Justin.

The crew has been working hard throughout Texas on installs small and large, here are a few projects that have been completed over the past few months.

With recent events we have been receiving a bit more interest from people about battery-backed solar PV systems, so I wanted to put a little more information out there about our experience and process with such systems.

Self Reliant Solar was started over 10 years ago as a off-grid battery/solar PV company, over the years we have moved into the residential and commercial market but we will still love to do what we were doing over a decade ago. Battery backed systems are not for everyone, but for the right situation a battery-backed solar PV system could be an incredible fit for someone who is in need of additional energy security.
