Originally from Corsicana, Texas, Cleo began her musical journey as a young child, singing and playing drums in her church’s youth choir, and eventually beginning to write her own songs. Honored to be featured in Texas Highways Magazine for their September music issue.
A customer came by to surprise me with a copy at work on Friday and they couldn't have made my day any better 🫂💗🙏🏾
This is a testament of so many things for me.
I needed this boost of encouragement from the universe that says, "KEEP GOING."
I've honestly felt so lost with my music career lately...
There have been days where I've really wanted to throw in the towel because I don't know what l'm doing or where this is going.
But it's organic moments like these where I start to count my blessings and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
The right opportunities will show up and I'II be ready for it.

My baby Onyx, I’ve had her since 2015. She was special from the moment I saw her online and picked her up from the shelter. I almost didn’t get a chance to adopt her, but the universe had other plans and wanted us to meet.
We were best friends from the beginning, I raised her and she raised me…
Some years later, to focus more on the start of my music career, I had Onyx stay with my family in Corsicana…with the intent of always getting her back once I got to a certain point. I missed her but I always appreciated the fact that I could go see her and that she wasn’t with strangers or at some other shelter.
Onyx became a permanent member of my family.
She was my best friend for 10 years and it kills me that we won’t have the chance to continue our adventure together like it once was before.
Onyx was scheduled this morning to cross the rainbow bridge but she waited until I got home yesterday night and then peacefully went. Couldn’t believe she waited for me. Now every time I realized that she did, my heart breaks even more.
She was around people who loved and cared for her from start to finish.
She really was loved by so many. I’m not gonna be the same without her. The first pic is our final moments together. Couldn’t have asked for a better companion and I hope she knows that.
Save a place for me sweet girl until we meet again.
