Back in the spring, Austin FC asked us to reach out to Willie’s team about a collaboration for the August release of the Violet Crown Kit, part of the 2026 “Rooted in Austin” campaign. The goal: present Willie with a custom jersey and seek permission to license a song for the launch video.

After several conversations, the unexpected happened—we were invited to Irving, Texas, for the Outlaw Roadshow tour kickoff on July 3rd to meet with Willie and Annie. Of course, we said YES!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given all-access passes. Willie and Annie invited us onto their bus, where we talked, shared gifts, took photos, and presented Willie with his jersey.

He loved it!

The next evening, in Austin, he surprised us all by wearing the jersey on stage! 💜⚡️

With Willie's blessing, we worked with his management and Sony to license his song. The result is a beautiful piece of filmmaking and a story that pulls at the heartstrings.

The City of Carrollton welcomes double platinum-selling headliner Toad the Wet Sprocket and openers platinum-selling EVE 6 and Wheatus to the 16th annual Festival at the Switchyard on Saturday, November 7 from 11am to 10pm in Downtown Carrollton.
