Friends of Nameless School recently interviewed by the Austin Chronicle. The house dates to about 1877, the same year the land was acquired and the Gray family then donated 1.5 acres for the first Fairview School located across Nameless Road (replaced in 1909 with the current school). Nearly a hundred years of occupation and modification, so many, many layers of changes (from hand hewn logs and cut nails to wire nails and "modern" 1950s appliances). It appears to have started life as a dog-trot on hand hewn logs. The building was moved onto county property near Nameless School last year; foundation stabilization was done earlier this year. Recent review of 1937 aerial photos are providing details of construction of the house from that period.
