Hello ya'll, I have not post in a while and wanted to give you all an update. I talked to Bob recently, he is doing well and enjoying retirement. I started working at Austin Automotive Specialists (Avery Ranch and 183) in early October. I love the place! Nice coworkers and very good management. I went to the shop today to meet Thomas. Turned in my key and took these pictures. I heard the new owners will make it into a full fledged convenience store and the old l**e bay will be turned into a beer barn type of place! How cool is that!!!! The only beer barn in a 10 mile radius! (believe me, I have been keeping my eyes open for beer barns! j/k lol) A bit of trivia: When my wife, kids and I moved to Austin in the early eighties the l**e shop was a drive thru car wash. I washed my car there often in the day. The growth in Austin has been phenomenal in the last 40 years! Looks like it won't stop!

We work on mostly newer cars but I like to share pictures of the older cars that come in for service.

We had this come in for a general check over the other day. A nice oldie! The older I get, the harder it is to get in and out of these! lol Just to be clear; we work on new cars. We are not restoration specialists! People see an old mechanic and want him to work on their old cars, lol. I post pictures of the old cars because we all can see a new foreign or domestic car every day. The oldies only come in occasionally.
