This luxury speculative residence overlooks the City of Austin skyline from the edges of the Hill Country. All interior spaces line the exterior courtyard to create a human connectivity with the the natural elements, including several planter gardens, a fire-pit lounge, and a negative edge pool that frames the uninterrupted hillscape and downtown views. A large pergola structure spans the interior courtyard to further blur the lines of indoor and outdoor spaces....................

In this reimagined mid-century home, we embrace sustainability through authentic living design principles. By preserving the original single-story form, we create a sunlit courtyard using passive solar techniques. Prioritizing old-world natural materials and processes, we craft a healthy interior environment, devoid of artificial dyes, paints, and stains. Experience the luxury of simplicity, where the past converges with the present in perfect harmony with nature.

The home is designed to maximize its wooded surroundings by merging indoor and outdoor spaces. The front courtyard is encased in a Texas limestone privacy wall. It is seamlessly connected to the rear pool, deck, and guesthouse through a glass volume. An additional garden courtyard is hidden into the Primary Bath to create a true sense of escape and total outdoor privacy....................

Project: Oasis 3 Residence .................... This multi-phased compound consists of several luxury single-family residences presiding over Lake Travis. Each cliffside unit boasts panoramic views from every room. The exposed, and otherwise austere, concrete structural shell is balanced with warm wood interiors and furnishings. The constraints of the steep terrain allowed us to create a multi-storied plinth for an outdoor patio and pool area on the primary level. A protected front yard garden courtyard allowed us to bring life and light to the primary level. .................... Design: @el.vandelay General Contractor: CVI
