I can’t stop thinking about this cool place we stayed at…Bracken Hide in Isle of Skye. A most unique experience, sophisticated cabins, great restaurant, sheep at your doorstep…we loved it!

Highlights from Glasgow…no idea who the guy is with Tom, I just dragged him into the picture because I made him move out of the way 😂 Check out the “killer” plants in the last few shots….the last photo makes me think of a chaotic fun party scene in a Muppet movie.

Part 3 - I know, I know, 2 weeks since part 2…life is moving at a breakneck speed! Maybe relaxing in this pretty tub is the answer, but I’m not a tub person. Are you team tub or team shower? Or team cocktail on a Friday afternoon when you’ve had enough and can’t do anymore?!?! Team cocktail for the win!

It’s a wrap - part 2. In case you missed the first part, some people very near and dear to my heart are moving to GA 😭. We updated the living room about 2 years ago (see the before shot at the end) . Isn’t the new sofa to die for?!?! ❤️❤️❤️

It’s a wrap - part 1. The last three years have been an incredible time with tumultuous changes…..lifestyle changes, kids leaving home. I designed this kitchen 18 years ago- the only changes we made since were updates to the lighting and adding the beams a couple years ago. And now the baby I met whilst sitting on his mom’s lap has graduated high school and it’s time for a change of scenery. The state of Georgia doesn’t know how lucky it is!

I woke up today absolutely convinced it was Monday - and it’s Sunday - sigh! Some recent sunrises to celebrate my mistake 😬

Good morning sunshine ☀️ it’s fun to revisit projects….i get attached, you finish things, something else fills the void…but today is dreary here and this struck the right chord to be a little pick me up.

Who doesn’t love a good stud, am I right?!?! But we have finally moved beyond that stage and things are happening fast and furious now! Move in is 10 days away….yes, I said 10 😀

Windows are the eyes to the soul….oops, scratch that, reverse it 😂 (after and before)

JOY. FUN. FRESH. (And FRIDAY!) part 3. This is where the love affair began. Update the Living Room (aka Netflix room), create a home office space (thanks Covid!) and privacy. How about the gorgeous steel doors inside the house?!?! And the smooth sophistication of the new fireplace surround with steel mantle….❤️❤️❤️ (before pictures included)

Part 2 of JOY. FUN. FRESH. After and before. What a difference a banquette makes! And bigger windows and a sneaky hidden pantry and the groovy lit up brass paneled china cabinet….and let’s not forget about the delicious muffins that nearly didn’t make it through the photo shoot (because we ate them, so yummy). Part 1 - JOY. FUN. FRESH. Stay for the Before shots. We blew out the small kitchen to steal some space from the dining room (part 2 to come) and opened up the view to see the wonderful vista outside. It’s all a great story, but I’ll keep it short for now.

After and before. Kids bedrooms change a lot over the years, but when they’re gone do you take the chance and let your biggest kid (aka husband) have a room with his favorite things? Yesssss!

Rejoice! We have power again after five and a half days! Treemageddon was one tough m***a to get through, but things are looking up 🎉🎉🎉

Day 2 - a few new perspectives from my house and the neighborhood this morning. So thankful we had a warm bed last night at a friends house, still no power here though. A massive oak tree, down the street from us, completely bit the dust, it was probably a couple hundred years old. Many roads barely navigable from all trees that are blocking the lanes. It sounds like guns exploding when the trees quickly break. Hoping a lot of this melts today 🤞. Peace out.

I’m just going to say it…it is such a pi**er when something beautiful kills the power to your house, dashes my dreams of a productive day and has me wearing ear muffs while I warm my feet by the fire…UGH! Tons of broken tree limbs, very creepy walking the neighborhood to hear the cracking trees and watching limbs bounce off of people’s roofs. And, it’s supposed to get to 70 in a few days 😳
