I wonder how many people retire and say “ I can’t wait to go spend a bunch of time at the Jersey Shore?!?!” You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can’t take Jersey out of the girl!! It was a great month with family and friends coming and going. Lulu was an intrepid explorer on her first big road trip!! Shots from Long Beach Island and Cape May.

I’m devastated to share that my beautiful mom, Gloria Bonamici, passed away this past Saturday. It’s been the most awful week and I think I’m in shock. I thought we had more time! My mom lived with us for the last year and nearby for 15 years before that. I’m so very thankful that she was a big part of my kid’s lives, she lived to see them get married and start their own families. All told, she had 3 children, 6 grandchildren and currently 6 great grandchildren. She was, of course, amazing!! She was a voracious reader, a helluva Bridge player…she had lifelong friendships and so much more. She was an intense mama bear when something bad happened to her children. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life 💔

Morning’s majesty!! Highlights from our annual family beach trip.

AMAZING!! Truly, a one of a kind experience and photos cannot capture the sheer magnitude of the screen. People dressing up. Things flying through the air, apples falling from the ceiling, the feeling that you’re soaring and crashing….it’s wild. I want to go again!

Time flies when you’re having fun….my mom turned 91 yesterday…wow!!
