Yesterday morning as I took my son to daycare, I found out our family was nominated for 10 Canadian Screen Awards!!!
Mad ❤️to the wild community of artistic rebels that came together to make a film about preparing the next generation for a world that seems like its eating itself alive, and the absolute importance of ensuring we cultivate community, culture and love as a means of resistance. It’s our insanely talented cast and crew who powered this story, centering a unique, kick ass Black & Indigenous family, and I’m forever grateful.

Real talk this is hands down the most ludicrous series I’ve ever worked on. You know you’re doing something special when you end up laughing everyday with the people you work with. Big S/O to for this wild take of one man’s History, for running a mile in the legends shoes, my brother in art and the rest of the incredible crew & hilarious cast that jumped back in time to tell the story of the dirtiest race in history that changed that the games forever. It’s a blessing working with people that make the work seem like play. I couldn’t have had a better time directing episodes 205 & 206 of cause of these wonderful humans.
There are so many amazing cast and crew that brought their A GAME & poured themselves diligently into our ambitious shoot days all the while moving with a contagious sense of community and enthusiasm. I got nothing but love for how y’all showed up everyday ready to tackle whatever challenges with had with laughs and teamwork. I don’t have all your tags so if you see you holla!

Action, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Thrillers, Anime and Comic books have been my main menu since I was 7 years old and picked up a pencil to tried to trace my first X-Men, Hulk & PowerMan & Iron fist comics. I used to sneak downstairs and watch Akira, Aliens, Predator, Action Jackson, Lethal Weapon, Scarface & ET on from behind the couch when my brother had friends over. As fast they could serve them up I’d eat a full plate. So it’s life long dream and an incredible honor to be nominated for THE awards that celebrate the power and reach of Genre Filmmaking in both TV and Film. Thank you for celebrating & recognizing the tremendous hard work of the incredible Cast and Crew of . 🎬🙏🏾🫡

The dream of being a filmmaker is born in a dark theatre watching the lives of people you’ll never meet, but somehow you know. For two plus hours their world is your world, the people on screen become the people in the audience. If something funny happens to them we laugh together, when they’re in danger we feel it, like we’re in the room with them, and if they win it’s our win too. The dream of every filmmaker is to bring that community of strangers all over the world into their dark theatre to live a little in our world.
I couldn’t be happier to finally announce on the weekend of our US premiere at that the incredible work of our amazing cast and crew will be in theaters this summer thanks to the legendary independent film distributor who are set release across the U.S. along with in Canada this summer. In the early days of my TV career I got a call to work on a wildly ambitious series that would take me across the world to live in Paris and work with a Canadian AD team turned writers that would be the showrunners. That opportunity changed my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful to for welcoming me into their new family.
Jill’s friendship, true collaboration, her open communication taught me a lot about what it takes to bring these dreams we have in our hearts and heads to reality. When I tell you this woman lived LIFE! The stories she told me about her adventures all over the world with all types of people… and the beautiful thing is that she brought the same passion, bravery, kindness and grace from her experiences to infuse in her shows. It taught me to aspire to do the same. I’m forever grateful to have walked the same path together and thank you for always encouraging me and so many whose lives you touched in the years after. Still in disbelief that we won’t get to talk again but your legacy lives on.
My friend Jill was a free spirit, a life chaser, a dreamwarrior. May you rest in power. God Bless.

They say go big or go home, so we going BIG. Couldn’t be happier to announce will have its U.S. premiere at in Austin, TX on March 10th!
I started my career shooting, chopping and hustling music videos and always dreamed of heading south for one of the only festivals that seemed to understand the unique creative connection between film and music. I came close a couple times but I’m grateful to know the journey has led me to premiering my feature debut there for US audiences.
Congrats to our amazing cast and crew, the power of your incredible work and passion is being appreciated and shown all round the world and I can’t wait for the SX audiences to see it. And from what I’m hearing Austin got that BBQ on lock so if you got food recos link me!
