Today is the final race for this CenTex announcing legend and I'm honored to be his timer. It's been great Evil!

89 year old Bobby Presley ran a 40:22 5k this morning. In.Credible!

Every now and then we are part of something extra cool. Today we timed a Guinness World Record( awaiting certification) 6th Ultra of the month for Helmut Walter - on his way to a planned 9 this month. And for Angela Tortorice, the current Guinness World Record female holder for most marathons in 1 year (129) on her way to setting a record for the youngest female to run 1000 marathons (she's already done it actually!)

We are so happy and honored to be a part of the technology supplier that helped the Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run become a qualifier for the Western States Endurance Run. Congrats to Libby Jones and the Active Joe team for the hard work in building this fantastic event!

Get ready for a lot of exclamation points, and I hope you are all sitting down — Our 100K is now a Western States qualifying race!!! Yes, you all were so invested in bringing this to the local community, and we did it! This event has grown tremendously and shown a level of ex*****on that puts us on a national level. We are now one of only 18 100K qualifiers in the United States for the 2025 Western States Endurance Run race.

But here's the kicker: if you completed the 100K distance in under 22 hours, you already have your qualifier for the December 2024 lottery! Yes, you have already qualified at the start of this qualifying window! That's 128 runners who have their qualifier! (Note you still have to apply for the lottery in November 2024)

We focus a lot on inclusion and diversity initiatives, so this will also add more diversity into the lottery and ultimately the start line of the race!

Getting this qualifying status is huge for our geographic location. Thank you all for listening to this crazy idea I had and responding with such heart! And thank you to all our amazing volunteers who helped everyone to finish so we could achieve this!!

Next year’s race is November 23-24, so mark your calendars. Registration will open in the next couple weeks!!
