These were all taken many years ago, in a stage of my life when I was apparently shooting architecture before really consciously knowing that’s what I was doing, let alone what I would end up shooting for a living😅

I don’t think I fully appreciated all of the architecture that Europe has to offer, so I see a trip back there in the near future!

I’ve been working on the travel section of my website the past few weeks, which has prompted me to go through a lot of older photos from different trips.

As much as I’ve enjoyed looking at all these, it’s mostly been interesting to see how my own tastes have changed through the years.

Almost every single one of those photos was in the now inaccurately named “keep but not using” folder, which thankfully I had the foresight to create and not just delete them all forever😮‍💨

It’s been a hard year for me, personally. So it feels really nice to celebrate career milestones when they come around!

At the end of 2020, I made the decision to pursue photography full time and it’s been an amazing ride so far, to say the least. I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many talented architects and designers on some unbelievable projects.

This particular one will always be a favorite of mine, and a whole experience I’ll never forget. I got to be out there for a weekend, shooting this beautiful house designed by using materials by the best of the best

The owner was incredibly gracious, one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, she even invited us to stay at her house. After the shoot, she went into town to pick up dinner for everyone, and we all sat on her porch overlooking the stars, telling stories while eating pizza and cannolis!

So, when I was told this book was going to be made and they wanted to feature some of my photos, it was a truly special day. It’s the first time my work is published in a big time international book. Still feels unreal and a bit early in my career for it, but I’m incredibly grateful to be part of it, and it’s a beautiful book that highlights so many talented people’s work.

I really wanted my dad to be able to see it, but I know he would have been really proud😊

There’s nothing like going back home to this place. Quiet and peaceful mornings where all you hear are the waves gently crashing on the shore.

I got to spend a week with my dad and surrounded by family and friends. A truly special trip I won’t be forgetting any time soon😊☀️🌴
