The indispensable Leyna McCord is winding down her time at Picturebox to explore the world outside our little office. But before she goes, there’s plenty of time for frozen margaritas!

Over the past few weeks Mike has had the chance to work on a new doc short, DRESS REHEARSAL, which debuts tonight leading into the DNC.

For the final night of the Democratic National Convention, Pod Save America has built a live pre-show special around the film. What's it about? When the coronavirus shut down the battleground state of Wisconsin 26 days before a crucial statewide election this spring, progressive organizers pivoted on the fly to overcome unprecedented challenges. By mounting a massive mail-in ballot campaign through digital organizing, they overcame voter suppression efforts that weaponized the pandemic -- and ultimately pulled off a stunning upset victory in a race both parties saw as a dress rehearsal for November.

It's hard not to feel hopeful about winning Wisconsin in November after watching this short -- and you'll leave the film inspired and equipped to do what you can from home to impact this election in the 75 days that remain.

This past weekend Parkland Hospital hosted "An Evening for Heroes" honoring first responders from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. We're proud to have produced two videos featured at the event, telling the stories of two women involved in terrible accidents. Thanks to the quick actions of first responders and the trauma staff at Parkland, both women are recovered and living full lives today. Enjoy these remarkable stories!
