Am I Invisible is a performance event about homelessness, written and performed by homeless actors in Austin, Texas. http://invisibleinaustin.com/
Our group, first of its kind in Austin, includes seven creative actors and one director. We use theater to transform personal experiences of homelessness into performance materials. We aspire to bring to our audience an unmediated story of homelessness, told by those who are experiencing it. We believe that theater is a powerful tool to promote civic dialogue and social change both in the homeless

We had a wonderful second performance today! Thanks for everyone who showed up (particularly considering the heat) and participated in yet another inspiring and active discussion!
Today's the day, folks! Come out to the City Hall Plaza at 2pm to see our second performance! We have stories and snacks to share. See you soon!

Two days from our performance, and we're thinking about the power of our stories. James Mosley says it best: "It’s important that we continue to perpetuate our voices, and be known as humans and as a part of society, and not just outcasts."
