- Designed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU and completed in November 2014.
- It combines both historic and modern elements.
Architectural style: Deconstructivism.

What do you do if you have a ton of cash...that’s basically worthless?
And what would you do if you have to pay for that money with your time?
Imagine an inflation rate where the cost of rent last month becomes the price of a single milk jug today.  In Venezuela, the current minimum salary is 10,000,000 Bs.  This equals to $3.54/ month USD on the black market, with an average of %1000000 inflation every other month ...but that’s a whole other story!

Have you heard of Bolivares? Probably not, Bolivar is the name of Venezuelan currency. As of today and since 2003 Bolivares can only be used in Venezuela because of a strict currency exchange policy from the Chavez Regime.

The inability to freely exchange Bolivares with foreign currencies without a government institution creates an aislated economy that doesn’t follow the rules of the rest of the world leading to economic anarchism.

We know this is a lot to swallow and understand, so take a breather and let us share it with you through our project VENEZUELAN BROKE. Bolivares are not just a currency but also our art material.
