🥊 It's Monday and life has a funny way of throwing punches when we least expect it.

The individuals we support at the Mary Lee Foundation remind us that strength isn't about never getting knocked down, it's about getting back up, adjusting your stance, and stepping back into the ring with courage.

Every challenge faced, every goal achieved, and every smile shared is a victory worth celebrating. And if life does throw a punch? We know a few people who have practiced their footwork. 💪😄

Keep fighting for your dreams. Keep believing in yourself. And remember, the greatest champions aren't always the ones with the belts, they're the ones who never quit.

In just over a year at the Mary Lee Foundation, LeKisha Glover has already made a meaningful impact. For LeKisha, being part of Mary Lee is more than a job, it’s a place where connection, joy, and purpose come together every single day.

What she loves most is simple but powerful: waking up each morning excited to come to work and spend time with her students and coworkers. It’s those daily interactions and the wide range of personalities that make the Mary Lee Foundation so special to her. She sees firsthand how relationships are built and how much joy is shared throughout the day.

LeKisha’s journey to Mary Lee started close to home, through her mom, and it’s clear she’s found where she belongs. One of her favorite things is seeing how the entire team comes together to create happiness for the people they serve, whether through fun activities, special events, or field trips that bring smiles and excitement to everyone involved.

LeKisha says when she thinks of the Mary Lee Foundation the one word that comes to mind is family. That sense of togetherness is something she carries into her work each day. She also hopes others understand just how much heart goes into the organization, that the people who work for Mary Lee are deeply committed to the people they serve. She sees it in the details, in the care, and especially in the “smiles and sparkle” of those who walk through the doors.

Outside of work, LeKisha enjoys helping others, spending quality time with family and friends, going to the movies, and bowling. We’re so grateful to have LeKisha as part of the Mary Lee Foundation family. Her heart for people and positive spirit truly shines.

Glenn has been a valued part of the Mary Lee Foundation family for 15 years, and in that time, he’s become known for his quiet nature, strong work ethic, and ability to learn quickly. While he may be soft-spoken, Glenn’s presence speaks volumes through his dedication and kindness.

When asked what he enjoys most at the Mary Lee Foundation, Glenn shared that he loves spending time with his friends because “we always have fun together.” Those friendships are a big part of what makes his experience so meaningful.

One staff member who has made a meaningful impact on Glenn is Tameka Stidom, who leads the Day Break program. Glenn shares that she is “really nice and listens to us” and always brings “good vibes.” Supportive staff like Tameka help create an environment where clients feel truly heard and valued.

Glenn loves it when our community puts on the Fall Festival each year. He feels it’s a time filled with friends, family, and joyful moments shared together. Experiences like these highlight the strong sense of community at Mary Lee.

Glenn is currently working on building his coping skills and continues to grow in meaningful ways. Looking ahead, one of his goals is to work more with Billo’s Dog Treats, a hands-on program where clients help create all-natural dog treats while gaining job skills, building confidence, and contributing to the community. It’s something he’s truly motivated and excited to pursue.

He also hopes people understand that individuals with disabilities have so much to offer, sharing, “They can learn about us if they really want to know more.” It’s a simple but powerful reminder of the importance of connection and understanding.

Outside of the Mary Lee Foundation, Glenn expresses his creativity as an artist. He loves to paint, watch movies, and spend time at church, activities that reflect his thoughtful and creative spirit. We’re grateful for Glenn and the steady, positive energy he brings to our community each day!
