Thrilled to announce that director Richard Krause has joined our roster!

Krause is an award-winning director whose obsession for cinematic storytelling took hold at the age of five, when he wore out the VHS tape of the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Since then, he has turned that passion into a career.

His portfolio ranges from dark and sensual music videos to buoyant and exhilarating commercials for clients such as Apple, AT&T, Cisco, Dallas Cowboys, Dolby, Mercedes, Nvidia, and Samsung.

Richard has also directed and produced several award-winning short films, including the critically acclaimed “Fight the Foot,” which was screened at SXSW; “The Fading Light,” which premiered at the prestigious Australian creative festival Pause Fest; and “Dig,” which was nominated for the Sundance Short Film Grand Jury Prize. Richard has also won awards as a visual effects artist and supervisor, with credits on notable independent films like “Ghost Story” and “Ain't Them Bodies Saints.”

AFS hosted a tribute screening of Winnebago Man last night in honor of the passing of the late, great Jack Rebney. Our friends responsible for making the movie joined us, along with special guest, Keith Gordon, co-star of the doc and Jack's best friend. In lieu of a service, what better way to honor the man behind the swearing than sharing his film with an audience. We're so grateful to be a part of such an incredible and supportive filmmaking community. RIP Jack Rebney and thank you for all the laughs. You will not be forgotten.

Her recent adventures documenting cowboy culture in the American West, fly fishing with river guides, touring with country musicians, and writing observational humor have taught her the importance of chasing stories with an open mind, trusting eyes and a desire to constantly evolve.

Her work ranges from music videos to short documentaries, comedy commercials to outdoor lifestyle. She has created work for Tecovas, Yeti, All Hands, Ooni, Shane Smith & The Saints, Koe Wetzel and many others.

Meow Wolf called and The Bear answered!

Here’s a peek behind the scenes with Joey, Grace, and Abby as they created the amazing content that now lives within Meow Wolf’s new Grapevine exhibit, The Real Unreal.

It was a great pleasure seeing these talented creators work together to build the world of the Fuqua family through old portraits, social media posts, and home videos. It’s been an amazing experience that we wouldn’t trade for the - real or unreal - world!

We hope to see you in Grapevine!

Thrilled to unveil more from our latest collaboration with Meow Wolf, with stunning photography from The Bear’s own Abigail Enright. The period photos and soulful portraits are an essential part of the new Grapevine exhibit and provide a backstory for the family at the center of it all.

The photos tell the history of the Fuqua family, ranging from wedding photos to school portraits to current photos of the family just being their authentic selves.

With photos by Abby and videos by Grace and Joey, we’re so proud that The Bear was able to become its own collective of artists to help Meow Wolf create The Real Unreal!
