Summer isn’t cancelled. Get ready to soak up some rays at a safe distance in the Pink Lemonade triangle bikini. This piece will always have a special spot in my heart as my first original design 💕

With so many new things happening in my shop, I felt like SBCrochet was no longer broad enough to define my brand. I wanted a name that would allow me to explore all things handmade, including knitting and designing. I’m really excited to begin this new chapter with a new shop name. Thanks for following me in this handmade journey, and I can’t wait to show you what’s next for SBC Handmade.

This might be me attempting to write a pattern for the first time ever 😬 I was so thrilled with my design for my Mother’s Day present, I just knew it had to be my first written pattern. This has been a long time goal of mine, so I’m taking advantage of this extra time to learn the process.

May the fourth be with you. What a fitting day to finish up this baby yoda and baby blanket set for a Star Wars themed nursery. @ Austin, Texas

Slow Sunday mornings, working on a a gauge swatch. I don’t usually like metal knitting needles. They’re slippery and tend to slow me down, but this seems like a good time to slow down. I just love the small clink they make as you work.

I had fun with these custom face masks. I’ve never done surface crochet as intricate as the Batman logo before, but when asked if I could do it I figured why not? By the second attempt, I think I did pretty good 🦇 I’d love to make more of the rainbow one! It’s about as much fun as you can have making a mask for a pandemic 😷

When you can’t go to the nursery to buy more plants, you make your own. Currently attempting to water propagate these little ripple peperomia leaves. I also finished a sweater and started my second book since distancing. Seemed fitting.
