What an amazing opportunity I get to have to help young individuals achieve their goals. Far right is Jake Helms. With all of his hard work and dedication to his position, Jake has landed himself a Full ride scholarship.

I started out playing as a center in Pop Warner. Since I played center, I was also given the job of being the long snapper. The job didn’t mean anything special until I started middle school, when I first started working with Zach. Zach worked with me on everything to do with snapping. Whether that was the snap itself, or the details leading up to and after the snap. Zach and I worked together almost every week in order to always improve, and help me work to achieve the long-term goal of getting a scholarship offer. Zach aided me all throughout my high school career, and becoming a varsity starter for Westlake as just a sophomore wouldn’t have been possible without him. Though he was encouraging of my progress, he kept me in a mindset to never be fully satisfied with where I was, which pushed me to work harder every lesson we had. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be where I am today as a five star snapper committed to play D1 at the Air Force Academy. Zach is a great coach and an even better person, and I without a doubt recommend him if you are looking for a mentor figure in snapping.

You couldn’t have made a better choice to spend the next 4 years of your life to play D1 college football. you had no idea how to snap a ball when we first met. Balls over my head and on the ground. You stayed with it and never gave up. You sir are a prime example of Rudy the movie. Tough times at camps in our lessons and you made comebacks and mastered them to become a D1 Athlete!! You are a go getter and a never give up kind of player. I’m so glad you picked me as the person to teach you The Art of Long Snapping. We gotta kick it up a gear and stay consistent until you leave.
