Allen Steadham is the Christian fiction author of Mindfire, the Jordan of Algoran Series, and The Former Things. He is happily married and has three children.
Writing update: On March 31, I decided to take the first half of Book Three (Forging Utopia) in my Christian dystopian sci-fi series and expand it to make it a full prequel within the series. At that time, it had about 31000 words. After filling out what was there and adding to it, the word count is nearly 46000 words. And I may be close to halfway on it.
At the same time, my wife and I are about 2/3rds finished editing Book One (Sustaining Utopia).
It really has been a long road to the release of Choosing Life: A Pro-Life Anthology but here we are! This anthology is my first independent publication since 2016 (with the original version of Mindfire on Amazon) and it opens the figurative door to all the releases I have planned going forward.
Choosing Life has five pro-life short stories written by five Christian fiction authors. I'd like to thank H.A. Pruitt, Parker J. Cole, Lauren Smyth, and Joanna White for their participation in this project. It's been amazing!
This project was inspired and blessed to come to fruition by the Lord God Almighty. He gets all the glory!
100% of the proceeds from the sale of this anthology will be donated to pro-life non-profit organizations to help women during and after their pregnanies.

A thing I learned recently as an author: I'm working on the third book in a Christian dystopian sci-fi series which starts in the past for the first half of the book and continues in the present day for the second half. I write the whole first draft, sit on it for months, make little edits, go back for a deeper dive on revisions, make progress...and then I suddenly realize I have two books in front of me instead of just one! So, each half needs to be its own book.
This isn't exactly a problem; it's just a surprise to me. So, Book Three is now going to be a prequel that's actually part of the main series. And the second half will now be Book Four.
Introducing Book Three: Forging Utopia
I'm actually pretty excited about it because now we'll get immersed into the early days of the alien invasion and what led to the rise of the human Resistance. And it's pretty compelling stuff!
