Screenings are held on the UT campus in the Texas Union Theater. They are free and open to the public.
The Austin Cinematheque, the community's only free repertory film series, was established at the University of Texas during the fall of 2005. At this time, the Varsity Theater had been vacant for 15 years, the Dobie Theater was shifting it's focus to more commercial works, and the only on-campus 35mm projector sat gathering dust between screenings of second-run blockbusters. The Flowers of St. Francis screening has been postponed until the end of our Fall program, Dec 2nd. We'll be announcing the October 21st, November 4th, and November 18th screenings soon, and have been lining up some exciting surprises for this semester! Thank you for understanding, and we hope to see you at all four screenings!
