COMEDY GYM started in 1986, as a dream of Arthur Chichese and Sam Cox. Workshops and shows were held at local famous comedy clubs. Several contributors to Mr.
For 4 years Arthur and Sam travelled weekly from Austin to San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. Writing performing instruction with Jay Leno's freelance joke writer. Leno's Tonight Show monologue began with Comedy Gym. Local festival comics Lucas Molandes, Matt Willis, Holly Lorka, Donna Lee all started with Comedy Gym.
There will be no class this Sunday.

Monday December 8th, 8 pm Salvage Vanguard Theater Manor Road. There will be a special Comedy Gym Showcase featuring Funniest Person In Austin Jana Williams and special guests.

The classroom is in The Wildflower Terrace Library showcases at the Wildflower Terrace Theater and The Velveeta Room.
Wildflower Terrace is located in The Mueller Neighborhood Manor Rd. and Berkman Dr. 3801 Berkman Dr. Austin Texas
Class for beginners or people who want to learn how to write and perform stand up comedy or add humor to meetings and presentations. If you are an open mike comic Comedy Gym may not be the place for you. Comedy Gym stresses clean original material that is not abrasive, angry, sexist or belligerent. Leave of the gross p**p and p*e jokes and do something original. The first class is free but if you decide to continue working with Sam the fee is $130 for five classes and must be paid in advance. This is a class for people who want to earn money being funny. Sam Can show how it is done.
