Native Cottage Gardens

The application deadline for Wild Basin's trail guide training program has been extended. You now have until March 1 to submit your applications and training is planned for two dates in April.

This was a fun project that we completed last year. Under all those w**ds was several inches of pea gravel and high quality "w**d barrier". Took a bob-cat to pull it all up and haul off.

Fun project recently completed. We transformed a Hyde Park Bungalow into a true cottage garden. Crepe Myrtles provide immediate relief from two story apt building across the street. Antique brick walkway and lots of native plants. Native pecan tree will provide shade in the future.

Today, Feb 14th is the day for roses. Give some to your loved ones, and prune the roses in your garden. This is the best time for folks in Central Texas to prune back in preparation for spring.
