THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH is wherever I am with them ❤️‍🔥🥹🤞🏾

A few weeks ago it was kindergarten graduation, then Wesley’s birthday, then we packed up the rental, loaded up the kids, and drove 18 hours to Orlando to surprise them with their first trip to Disney World 😭

There were more moments than I can count. A princess makeover, the first Bluey show, somehow ending up IN the Lion King show 😛 Every moment felt like a core memory being made “in real time”.

But the real moment that stuck with me wasn’t inside the park. It was on the bus ride there, when the excitement settled down for a second, that’s when it hit me.

We really did it 🥹

Years ago, this was the life I used to dream about. Taking care of my family. Creating memories like this. Being able to say “yes” to experiences that felt out of reach.

And somehow we got here.

Not by luck, not by lottery, and definitely not because anyone handed it to us 😤 But because we KEPT GOING 👏🏾

Music brought us here and i think that’s something worth celebrating!

Tbh I don’t know who was more excited that week……the kids or me 😂 but out of 690 photos, these are the ones that instantly take me back to that feeling.

All the smiles, all the laughter, and a heart FULL of gratitude 🙏🏾

Fr though….my sister, my cousins, and all my friends are gonna be there you’d be crazy to miss out on a lil Louisiana in Texas night 😏 see you there 🐊 we play at 8p ❤️‍🔥

LIFE LATELY (because I don’t share these moments enough):

A few weeks ago I got asked to speak at career day at Wesley’s school. Might not sound like a huge deal to everybody, but yalllllll… it meant the world to me.

Being recognized by a school for something I’ve fought so hard to build over all these years moved my soul. Through all the doubt, imposter syndrome, setbacks, and wondering if any of this was actually working — I got to stand in front of those kids and show them that creative dreams are real careers too! And that hit wayyyyy harder than I expected.

Seeing Wesley so proud to say “THAT’S MY DAD” took me out 😭 I was a wreck in the car and I know she felt like the coolest person on earth.

Out of all the cool things I’ve gotten to do in life so far, this was easily top 5 for me.

Just a reminder for anybody struggling right now: keep going. Seriously. There are people watching you, young and old, waiting to be inspired by something you haven’t even brought into the world yet.

Soooo 👏🏾 get 👏🏾 it 👏🏾 together believe you got the magic (because you do) & bring it 😤
