HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY HOCKEY TRYOUTS

Think you have what it takes to represent Austin on the ice? Join us for Varsity High School Hockey Tryouts!

⏰ 5:30 PM

✅ All non-travel players welcome
✅ Open to all high school students (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors)
✅ Public, private, and homeschool students eligible (must adhere to UIL guidelines)

Season Highlights:
🏒 ISHL League Play (20 games + playoffs)
🏒 Practices Thursdays 5:30-6:30 PM & Fridays 6:30-7:30 PM
🏒 Games primarily in Houston on Sundays, with select home games in Austin and San Antonio (subject to ISHL scheduling)
🏒 Team uniform included (jersey, socks, and warm-ups)

💰 Season Cost: $3,500

Additional tournament opportunities may include up to two area tournaments (subject to bracket availability) and a possible out-of-state tournament for interested families at an additional cost.

📆 Weekly Schedule Reminder:
Because our store hours align with the rink’s shifting ice schedule to serve you when you are actually at the rink, our hours vary week to week. We update our exact Monday–Sunday schedule on our website every single Sunday evening. Check the site before heading down!

HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY IS COMING TO CHAPARRAL ICE!

We’re excited to launch our new High School Hockey Team for players born between 2008-2012!

Whether you’re looking to continue developing your game, compete with fellow student-athletes, or represent the growing hockey community in Central Texas, this program offers a competitive hockey experience without the demands of a full travel schedule.

✅ Tryouts: August 8
✅ Season: August–March
✅ Practices twice weekly at Chaparral Ice
✅ League games played in Houston, TX
✅ Open to players born 2008-2012

In addition to league play, the team plans to participate in up to two regional tournaments (based on tournament availability and division placement). If tournament opportunities are unavailable, credits will be issued. There may also be an opportunity for an out-of-state tournament for families interested in additional travel and competition (additional costs would apply).

This is an incredible opportunity for players to continue competing, develop leadership skills, build lifelong friendships, and be part of something special as we grow high school hockey in Central Texas.
