We love to amplify the work of female-identifying artists any chance we get, which is why we're thrilled to host Mia Florentine Weiss' iconic one-word visual poem, LOVE HATE. This profoundly simple work reads "hate" when viewing from one side, and "love" from the other, showing through experience that we can turn hate into love if we just change our perspective. To make this residency even more noteworthy, it was spearheaded by LC President & CEO Cory Baker and LC Trustee Amber Bradbury. We feel pretty dang lucky to be led by these strong, brilliant, and creative women 💪 Special thanks to Google for their support of this installation and all our community-building efforts.

Mia Florentine Weiss' iconic LOVE HATE sculpture is an ambiguous yet powerful message that symbolizes how we can turn hate in to love. All it takes is a change in perspective. Visit the Long Center's Hartman Concert Lawn now until September to experience it for yourself.
Special thanks to Google for investing in our mission mission to be a hub for all curious and creative Austinites.
