Restore Austin
A church in Austin where anyone has a seat at the table and everyone can experience the love of Jesus. Every Sunday at 9:30am and 11:30am CT
We are a church that locks arms with the community to help bring restoration to people and neighborhoods in our city and around the world. We don’t have everything figured out, but we are on a journey of restoration through Jesus who loves people without prejudice or qualification. Restore is a place where you can be yourself, ask questions, and won’t be pressured to conform to any stereotype. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, you are welcome at Restore.
Hey Restore, it’s that time again!!☀️🍉📼

The Kingdom of God is a kinship community built on mutuality and flourishing for ALL people. We are called as followers of Christ, and as a church, to be a people whose lives make the presence and peace of God feel real to one another and to the world around us.
So when someone walks through our doors carrying loneliness, pain, fear, or disappointment, they don’t just hear about the Kingdom of God, they get to experience what it actually feels like!
If we spend our time with people who angry, self-protective, and cruel, we will most likely become those things as well. But if we spend our time with people who are generous, compassionate, and humble, and grounded in the way of Jesus we will those things will take root in us too (and this is exactly why we’re so grateful for our Restore community!)🙏

When Paul says that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him, he isn’t writing as someone who has avoided hardship because a divine genie granted all his wishes. He is writing as someone who has discovered that Christ can sustain him in the middle of tremendous pain and can empower him to press on no matter the circumstances.
Because his confidence is in Christ rather than his identity, accomplishments, or circumstances, he can keep going even through the hardest of times 🤍
Our confidence is in Christ. Setbacks, failures, disappointments, criticism, uncertainty, and pain do not get the final word. Jesus does 😊

We are called create the kind of community that Paul outlines in Philippians—a group of humble, servant-hearted, loving people who look not only to their own interests, but also to the interests of others. A community that shows up for each other. A community that looks like Jesus.
And in a world that is increasingly divided, isolated, suspicious, and angry, communities like that are more important than ever 💙
