6000 square feet of showroom with 1940s through 1990s Danish Modern furniture, from credenzas to dining tables. There are reupholstered and restored sofas, super mod coffee tables, as well as storage and dining tables and chairs. The tambour doors slide smoothly on a track and are hidden by a false wall built into the credenza sides and back. Uptown Modern in Austin finds and restores vintage (1950-1980s) midcentury modern credenzas as well as dining tables and chairs, sofas, bookcases, desks, and other home goods. We source and heavily curate unusual pieces from all over the world, bring them here to Austin, and refurbish them for our customers.

Midcentury modern tables and Danish Modern chairs were the major restoration projects this week with Thanksgiving approaching. We also brought in a round stainless steel break room table with attached seats from a small town Texas prison. Talk about a conversation piece! Our restoration team finished several large mid century modern wall units and bookcases this week as well as an extra large Danish modern credenza (89.5”). The Danish teak credenza has sliding doors and removable shelves, and beautiful exterior with a ton of storage. We hope to see you at Uptown Modern this weekend!
