Today we’re raising a glass to one of Mexico’s most refreshing cocktails — the legendary Paloma! 🇲🇽✨
Made with tequila, grapefruit, lime, and bubbly citrus soda, the Paloma is known for its crisp, refreshing flavor that’s perfect for patio weather. While margaritas may get most of the spotlight, the Paloma has actually been a longtime favorite across Mexico for decades.
🍹 A little Paloma history:
The word “Paloma” means “dove” in Spanish. The drink became popular in Mexico during the 1950s and is believed to have been created by legendary tequila bartender Don Javier Delgado Corona in the town of Tequila, Jalisco — the heart of tequila country itself.
