Wax is oil-soluble. This means, applying lotion or any oil-based products prior to your waxing appointment, may lead to a sub par wax. The wax will begin to “break down” and may not adhere to the hair. Have no fear though, after your wax, our post wax oil will not only calm your skin, it will also leave your skin glowing!

𝗣𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗽: If you find any sticky spots when you’ve returned home from your wax, just dab a little olive oil, jojoba oil, or any type of unscented oil, and it will wipe away the sticky spot! 😉

Set a phone reminder, put a sticky note on your bathroom mirror, tie a string around your wrist. Whatever reminder you need, don’t forget to apply your SPF! SPF is the number one way to prevent skin damage, aging, and or course skin cancer. Even on cloudy days, don’t leave home without it!

TGIF! Did you know that regular waxing can help diminish hair growth and give you a better result? Hair grows in stages, not all at once, which is why you may have some hairs left after your first wax (new stages of growth are simply to short to wax). We recommend you consistently wax every 4-6 weeks to achieve smooth skin. This regular waxing ensures a good waxing result and also begins to “damage” hair follicles, over time, this will thin and lesson hair growth.

Today feels like the perfect day to clean those dirty makeup brushes! 💄 Not only is there excess makeup left on your brushes, there is also bacteria,dead skin and dirt that can then spread to your skin causing breakouts and irritation. Cleaning them 1-2 times a month (more if you use more liquid based makeup) can help prevent this. Read below 👇

💋 Wet your brush with warm water.
💋 Apply a gentle cleanser.
💋 Rub brush back and forth in the palm of your hand (don’t smush or be to rough as it can damage the brush).
💋 Rinse brush with warm water.
💋 Repeat until brush is clean.
💋 Lay brushes flat on a towel to dry.
Never dry brushes standing brush side up. This will allow water to settle in the metal part of your brush and can damage the bristles.
