If you have a rising 3rd-5th grader it's about to FINALLY be time for them to be a part of the statewide Texas Bluebonnet Book Award Program! 📚📖💙

It's kind of a big deal here and honestly a little bit of a rite of passage! : ) No summaries need to be written, no quizzes need to be taken, we just want our students to read widely and well. 🥰

We've already pre-launched next year's list with all students and here's everything you need to know to get started in the summertime IF you want to - there is PLENTY of time during the school year, don't worry!

It's easy to access and is available any time - even during the summer!

MackinVIA can be opened via the Library Resources folder in your student's Classlink.

Did you know that RRISD Enrichment has half and full-day summer camps?! And yours truly is teaching two of the coming up in June!

Both my Weird and Wacky Animals (rising 3rd-6th graders) and my Bluebonnet Book Adventure (rising 4th-6th graders) camps will be held June 1 - June 4 at Elsa England Elementary and I would LOVE to see your kiddos there : )

We did it! What a fabulous Book Fair Week it has been 💕

Today's kinder axolotl artist was absent so we recruited his cousin to join us in our freshwater puddle for a picture 😂

I can not thank this community enough for all of the support with every aspect of the fair. We saw sooo many happy faces every single day! Now this geriatric amphibian needs a nap! 😴

Wow, it's perfect weather for a pair of pufferfish!

Hopefully we'll see you during a break in the rain tonight when we're open all the way until 6:30! Come up for the art showcase, stay for the Book Fair : )

The theme and costumes this week are inspired by the AMAZING recycled animals created by kindergartners. They're the BEST.
