I’ve been taking a break from this account for a while to work on a new project that went live last week. ReOpen is a short-format documentary series that gives viewers a window into the difficult decisions that restaurant chefs and owners are making every day to try and provide hospitality, keep diners safe, and save their businesses during a global pandemic. Japanese Breakfast at Shinpachi Shokudo - Grilled beef, rice, pickles and miso soup. One of the best meals I had in Tokyo.

Ise Udon noodles in broth with Matsusaka beef. The udon in Ise is much softer, less chewy, than traditional udon and the Matsusaka beef is some of the best in the world, I actually prefer it to Wagyu.

A5 Wagyu Beef skewer brushed with a light tare and grilled to perfection at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo.

Spicy Fried Squid from First Chinese BBQ. Tons of fried garlic, ginger, scallions and jalapeños pack this dish with SO much flavor.

Thai Green Curry with chicken, bamboo and lots of Thai basil from with a side order of their Chicken Larb Spring Rolls. Spicy and delicious 🔥❤️🔥

Sometimes you just want to go old school and have some delicious Broccoli Beef. This kind of food is my comfort food, always makes me feel good ❤️
