For the past week Shelf took a mini break to reboot with another exploring “zine” collages with the fabulous Swedish illustrator and artist . Her work is wonderful and whimsy and often created without much color at all. I on the other hand love color a bit too much.
So to celebrate a new beginning post Covid, my book was about my year of change. From sunset when everything is sunny but rain begins to fall, then midnight when it feels like a jungle and my monkey mind goes wild, then sunrise where the air is fresher and the day begins to wake. Then daytime where my new home will be filled with love and light and animals! Oh and my amazing new art studio in the casita! And somewhere a pool behind that fence. To a fabulous year in a new space with welcoming energy and a fresh new outlook before I turn 45. Creativity is magic and makes everything to me more beautiful.
Studios, agencies, freelancers even — we are all always evolving and seeking to grow from where we were. They always say your only as good as your last project. With this collage I’ll take it. It was a pretty satisfying day.

The best part of any project here at Shelf is the people we work for and collaborate with. is one of the most insightful and well versed teams in marketing we’ve had the pleasure of working with these past few years. What makes s great client?
Clear communication and brief alignment. Without it there is no clear creative direction and goal planning. With it, the magical wandering path to a perfect idea happens!
Respecting workflow and scheduling requirements. Without this, a well planned 8 week project can become 4 months. With it, both client and creatives can focus on the fun stuff!
Bringing the personality. Without it, clients can’t understand why their vision isn’t being met and creatives can’t read the room to improve collaboration. With it, if everyone brings their happy intuition to every meeting — those little wisdoms start to unfold, leading to better copy and tighter concepts.
Getting to the perfect story and pack is a journey. And working with great clients makes it fun. As we say at Shelf — Have Fun.

No compost? No problem. If our products end up in a landfill, they will still break down into organic compounds including water and carbon instead of traditional food wrap, trash bags, and zipper bags that break down into microplastics.
