HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY ❤️
I would not be where I am today without the unwavering support and love from my mom - despite basically 3 decades of super mediocre life choices 😂 my mom believed in me and was nothing but positive
And it’s not like I’m a giant success today - but I’m independent and intelligent and a generally nice & polite fella (as often as I can be) 🫡
I’m very lucky to have such a supportive mother.
Thank you to my mom and all moms out there - you have a giant impact on the people in your life, keep up the good work ❤️

🚨 BREAKING BAKERY NEWS 🚨
About 69 minutes ago (nice) officially opened their flagship location at 1100 S Lamar 📍
They were welcomed to the neighborhood by a large group of hungry South Austinites 🫶
This is their first location that isn’t downtown - it’s absolutely gorgeous - it’s thoughtfully designed - it’s got a full bar and will be open until 7pm - they have indoor & outdoor dining AND they offer “grab & go” or “dine in” 🤟
This is their biggest location and their first time offering “dine in” - given they’ve been open for all of (what is now) 72 minutes - I’d come in with a little patience for their team as they tackle all of their new adventures.
& have done an excellent job with this space and every time I try a new dish here, my expectations are exceeded. It’s fun learning all of the Italian lingo after spending so much time figuring out what these Mexican dishes around me are 😂
Hope yall have a great Sunday, ttyl 🫡

As you likely saw on & page earlier this week - Swift’s Attic has been around for 14 years in a HISTORIC building downtown Austin 📍
I’ve been lucky enough to chat with a few times and learn a little bit about what Swift’s Attic use to be, what it wants to be, and the unique struggles of being a downtown restaurant that’s not SUPER HIGH END - but also not a quick counter service spot
Chef brings a lot of fresh skill to the restaurant and a few dishes really stood out like that crudo and the brocolli in a salsa macha. Easy to eat, not heavy, plenty to share, and approachable prices.
I’m a fan of the people, the space, and the food and I hope this post sparks some curiosity for you and we support them enough to stay around another 14 years ❤️
Have a great Friday, friends 🤝

Hosted by Mill Scale and benefiting Lockhart Fire & Rescue 🚨 this is one of the best events going down this month if you’re a real Texas food fan 🤘
Mill Scale builds smokers for spots like Burnt Bean Co, Meat Church, Interstellar BBQ and more — Lockhart staple and the first thing you see rolling into town off that toll road doing 85+ 😂
Chefs like Sac a Lait (Dai Due), Colter Peck, plus the crew from Austin Oyster Co will all be out there…
YETI will be everywhere as usual and Silverada is playing live on stage 🤘
Absolute must-attend. Also a solid Mother’s Day move for the food moms 👀
Saturday, May 9 ❤️
