Some of my favorite portraits aren’t from elaborate shooting spaces. Don’t get me wrong, I love those too—but I took this one while leaning all the way back into a closet, in a room with just a few feet to spare on each side of the bed. All we need to make some art together is really just you and a window. ;)🖤🖤🖤

I’m going through boxes, preparing for a move, and I just found a letter I wrote to myself in 2022. I’m a little stunned at the kindness I was showing myself with the things I was saying (and the sweetness of the things I wanted to remember). Right now I don’t even remember why I wrote it all out in the first place, but I know it’s something I needed to hear today. If you haven’t ever written a letter to yourself—10/10 recommend. Fold it up in an old notebook and surprise yourself with something you might need to hear one day. Next level option: let me take your portraits and write to yourself on the back of your prints. 🖤

Motherhood. 🤍 It’s a privilege to hear the stories that are shared with me during this time. No two are the same. Each so deeply personal that sometimes all I can say is “Wow.” There’s not many other experiences I’ve gotten to hear about that can be so complex—the highest highs mixed with lowest lows. Sometimes in the same year. Sometimes in the same day. All of it woven together with enough love to make you want to burst. You’re all so amazing. 💫

I wanted to share a reminder that we do take a limited number of newborn portrait sessions each month! These lifestyle sessions are shot in-home and captured in a natural style—genuine moments of your baby being their sweet self. Sleeping, yawning, crying. Their little hands grabbing and exploring. Their little feet kicking! [There is minimal (if any) posing in these sessions.] Check out the stories for more of a peek.

Due to limited availability, it’s never too early to get on the calendar! Sessions are best scheduled at 7-14 days after birth.🤍
