Sam FINALLY joined the Stamptown cult. After hearing friends and Valerie rave about the spectacular, Sam finally attended the variety show experience and admitted he thinks he is part of the cult of fans of the show, which had its Moontower debut 5 years ago at the intimate Hideout Theater space on South Congress.  The move to State Theater allowed the madness to grow and expand along with its fanbase.  You've got 2 more chances to watch Stamptown.  Why would you miss it?

Sam headed to Higbies to catch Canadian Debra DiGiovanni's solo show. The rapid-fire comedian delivered the laughs. The show's over but you can listen to her Honourable Intentions album, her Don't Tell Special, and touring the country.

While Valerie was watching the Jack Tucker standup special screening, Sam attended Stamptown regular, Joey Dardono for his solo Fallout Theater show, "Another Direction".  Hilarious, interactive, and filled with dancing, Joey delivered!

One of the perks of the nightly after-party at Antone's is not only the snack array, but getting to watch legendary comics perform on Josh Adam Meyers' The Goddamn Comedy Jam, a high energy, musical experience. The premise is comics join Meyers and his backing band, LMNOP, and sing a song. We've seen this show over the many years and there's always something magical to witness.

On this particular night, highlights were watching Marc Maron not only sing, but play guitar with a Rolling Stones classic "Sympathy with the Devil", Beth Stelling singing "Hold On", Timmy No Brakes singing Limp Bizkit's "Rolling" and Sklar Brothers bringing their usual flair and stage theatrics with a song I can't remember, but I know I sung along loudly with (as did the rest of the audience).

SURROUNDED
CLUB NIGHT 2

We have been stanning Surrounded for several years now. It's a magical show set in the round, and always at Velveeta Room which creates the perfect intimate space for staring at a comic's butt. Wait, what?? As Beth Stelling accurately declared, the show is great partly because half the crowd can stare at a comic's backside, while the other half of the "theater in the round" audience gets to watch a comic interact with the audience and riff off the dome. Night 2 of Surrounded featured the high energy of "Comedy Store Door Guy" Miranda Meadows, followed by creator of Surrounded, Mike Falzone who demonstrates how the show works. There's nothing better than teaching by showing, right? On this night, we got to watch the dynamic duo I didn't know I needed Katherine Blanford and Abby Ryan take to the floor, followed by Jesus Sepulveda, Mike Feeney, Beth Stelling, and Ian Fidance.

THE INTERNATIONALS
CLUB NIGHT 2

We feel super lucky we got to see the legendary Yakov Smirnoff during The Internationals and felt like we took a trip around the world with Canada's Ivan Decker and Italy's Francesco De Carlo.  Watching international comics perform right here on our Austin stages is a special treat and you'll have another chance to see The Internationals showcase on Saturday night.  A trip around the world and you can still sleep in your own bed at the end of the night! How lucky are we??

JACK TUCKER: COMEDY STANDUP SPECIAL SCREENING
CLUB NIGHT 2

Zach Zucher's alter ego, Jack Tucker, is the emcee of Stamptown and finally landed his own comedy special. The special has been screening in London, NYC, and LA, and we're so lucky to get a sneak peek here in Austin! Bringing elements from Stamptown, but with the usual surprises (notably celebrities from screen and music, but we won't spoil the surprise), the special is sweetly funny and hilarious. Congratulations, Jack Tucker - we're excited you're finally getting a chance to relish in all of those trophies.

The highest energy Higbie's has ever seen in a single human. What a great way to kick off our Thursday coverage of 2026 Moontower Comedy Festival. Locals are so lucky to get to watch Dylan's performances on the regular.
