Although I swore I wasn't going to post while I practiced, it occurred to me: if you're curious how light becomes sound, I'll be using this prototype optical pickup at the Performance Lab & Concert at The Rosette.

From now until Saturday’s Performance Lab & Concert at The Rosette, I’m going silent so I can practice and focus.

The Recording Conservatory of Austin will be filming and live-streaming it, so if you can’t make it — or don’t hear about it until later — you can still catch it at the first link in the comments.

There’s been a shift regarding the Performance Lab & Concert at The Rosette on Saturday.

A 6-person camera crew is now coming to film the concert. To give them room to work without blocking views, I cut about half of the original floor seats — from 63 down to 30.

It’ll be worth it to have fresh footage to share, but what was already an intimate concert... just turned into a living room with amazing production.

I am looking for 4 volunteers:

* 1 to check people in
* 1 with TABC certification to watch over the beer and wine — no sales, just making sure everyone is of legal age
* 2 to help set and strike the floor seats (about 10 min before & after)
