We need some help for one of our own. ❤️

If you’ve spent much time at Kick Butt Coffee, there’s a good chance you know Tina, our kitchen manager.

Since July, Tina has been through four surgeries in just six weeks because of collapsed veins in her legs. Most recently, she had to have the big toe on her right foot amputated, and she still has more surgeries ahead of her.

And because Tina is Tina, she has tried to come back to work through all of this. She needs the money, she has bills to pay, and she has always been someone who works. But every time she tries to come back, being on her feet keeps her from healing properly.

So we’re asking our Kick Butt Coffee community to help us do something that Tina has a very hard time doing for herself:

Give her permission to stop worrying about work for a while and just heal.

We’ve started a GoFundMe to help replace some of Tina’s lost income and cover living and medical-related expenses while she recovers and goes through the surgeries still ahead.

Cait and Ron Hall have been pillars of our music community for years, and right now they could use some of that love coming back their way.

Cait was recently diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. She has already undergone surgery and still has treatments and medical appointments ahead. The encouraging news is that her cancer is curable and things have been going well so far.

At the same time, Ron has been dealing with medical issues of his own. That means two people facing health challenges at once, less ability to work and help one another through it, and a growing pile of medical expenses.

So their friends, family, musicians, and community are doing what this community does best: showing up.

🔥 CHEEKS (San Antonio) — Coming up from San Antonio to add some SATX attitude to the night.

💥 GENERATION EXIT — Melodic street punk from Austin featuring veterans of Born to Lose, Riddlin’ Kids and Sniper 66. Their sound combines street-punk grit with big melodies and singalong hooks. Their 2024 album Lifer was followed by the Stay Alive! split EP with Boston’s Mark Lind & The Unloved.

🍺 BREWTALITY INC. — Long-running Austin punk rock ’n’ roll veterans established in 1999. Known for raw, energetic, working-class punk influenced by bands like the Ramones and Social Distortion, Brewtality Inc. has shared bills with acts including U.S. Bombs, Cro-Mags, Citizen Fish and The Qu**rs.
