UT-Austin comms students heard job search tips and other insights from IABC Austin members in a meetup last week at the Moxy Austin-University hotel. Then IABC student leader Carter Moxley talked up membership with Camila Montemayor, center, and other students at Communications Studies Week at the Moody College of Communication.

Let's introduce UT-Austin students to IABC! Come meet them at a reception at 5:30 p.m. next Wednesday, March 1 at the Moxy Austin Hotel., at 2552 Guadalupe (at West 26th Street). UT has been extremely supportive of IABC Austin. Last spring we enjoyed speed mentoring where local comms professionals got to know them, and we'll try it again. Here's a photo from last spring. You can park at the garage two blocks away on 22nd.

The keynote and breakout sessions have been some of the best ever -- and the welcome reception while watching the Houston Astros take Game 1 in the American League Champion Series wasn't bad either!
