Dancing with Mary Jane in 2025: this time, it was all about calling the magical spirits in to just let go and be free, with a little help from a big giant gummy bear. 😉 So yes, I ate a giant gummy bear on stage, the regular kind, and in this performance set to Lady Gaga‘s “Abracadabra,” I poked fun at the crazy antics and feelings that you can get when you’re just trying to dance through life and you’re feeling so winded, but you keep trying to look for energy to keep going. Some people can turn to different things to do this as you can tell. But I’m not trying to make an endorsement about that. Instead, it’s about digging down inside and just realizing that you already have the energy to set yourself free from what might be holding you back, especially if you’re looking to transform and be who you want to be.

Dancing with Mary Jane in 2024: my most explicit version yet of celebrating of a vice. The annual show with my is all about the celebration of these, from the comedic to the serious undertones. Here, this piece was inspired by Troye Sivan’s “Rush,” an ode to the feeling and aroma-gastic push inside the body that can just take over your entire soul when a tidal wave of energy of some kind of feeling comes in. And this is something that can look different for anyone, but the feeling is still the same: an overpowering joy that just literally, and, continuously, rushes through you, and you don’t want it to stop, ever. 🕺 Some call it pure euphoria, some call it a process, some call it a moment that you want to bottle up again and again.

Dancing with Mary Jane in 2023: this time, I transported audiences from a hot night in Miami to the ultimate slow burn peel into a fantastical big cat. 🐅 What inspired me to make this performance? Well, I saw a scene from the film Wonder Woman 1984, where Cheetah (before her transformation) was entering a party atmosphere set to Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Pleasuredome.” It was the first time that I heard that song, so I was clearly transfixed with it, and I just had this idea of becoming a big cat in the most magical and trippy way, which allowed everything to unfold and come together to make this performance. It’s not every day when you get to put a late night fantasy on the stage in such a teasing, fun, and beautiful way. 😎 This piece is also special to me because it’s also one of the first times I started digging into boylesque more, the masculine-driven (in a good and healthy way) energy side of burlesque, so I’m particularly proud of the body of work that I made here; I love making pieces that help expand the possibilities for identities to unfold, be seen, and respected on the stage.

My very first Dancing with Mary Jane performance. It was all about showcasing my transformation from a green and glamorous caterpillar into a striking and psychedelic butterfly, which delivered quite the trip of an experience for people as if they were looking into a Kaleidoscope. 😎 I definitely want to revive and expand upon this piece in the future, but I’m super excited to be debuting a whole brand new performance for the Dancing with Mary Jane show with my at on Saturday, May 2, 2026. All I can say is this: expect the unexpected. 🦚

2016 was a colorful and defining year for me. I did more modeling and got back into dancing, all of which helped me find myself again. After I graduated college years ago, I didn’t feel confident in my abilities as an artist, that I wasn’t worth anyone’s time on the stage, causing me to freeze and not put myself out there. But by 2016, I finally realized that if I don’t keep doing what I love, I’ll lose the magic that I already have. If I wasn’t gonna take a chance on myself, when would I? Well, as you can see, I did it, and I’m happier than ever before. Thank you 2016.🕺 And I’m immensely grateful for all the people who took a chance on me. 🤗
