Hosting Austin's Alternative Nightlife since 2001 Elysium Nightclub has been hosting Austin's alternative nightlife since 2001.

The warehouse that Elysium resides in dates back centuries, but since the late 70's it has been home to a variety of entertainment venues. Elysium is one of the longest standing residents to date.

ON this day in 1983 the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" hit #1 in the US charts. It was the first-ever single released by Eurythmics in the United States when it was released in May 1983.
The Eurythmics was founded by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, formerly of the Tourists and formerly a couple. But even after they broke up personally, they continued to work together professionally becoming one the most successful and iconic acts of the 1980's.
