Once upon a time in 2011, The Lost Pines took a week off of life to record an album with Lloyd Mains at The Zone Studio. It was a fun time.

Creating these new tracks was a less communal and much longer process for sure, but thanks to the amazing engineering skills of , we are still making music with our friends in 2025!

Look out for another new track "Brother" coming out on Friday and join us to celebrate on Memorial Day at !

Friday night, watching my about-to-be-13-year-old daughter goofing around at the arcade with her teammates to celebrate the end of (a long) soccer season, a younger brother asked me "how long did it take you to make this song?"

Well...I played the first lines for in Jan 2020 when we finally started meeting up again to workshop new songs, because 2020 the year we were finally going to make that new album! 🤣🤣🤣

So....5 and 1/2 years I guess?"

Here's to all the parents who keep making the music, no matter how long it takes.

Parenthood is the greatest blessing of all. Happy Mother's Day.

Special thanks to my husband Tym for always encouraging me to keep the dream alive, and my big brother for inviting The Lost Pines into his studio and putting his hours, energy, expertise and love into this track (and the others we can't wait to share with you!)
