My wheel-thrown ceramics explore the space where function and decoration meet, using underglaze painting and carved detail. Pour test: the final test a teapot has to pass! Faceted teapot take 2 is a little drippy, but worlds better than take 1!
I’m a firm believer in pot bottoms that are so smooth you can rub them on your face lol! It’s a process, I use 3 grits wet sanding to get my lovely smooth bases!
Watch me photograph my pieces using my lovely pop up light booth! Keep an eye out for a guest appearance from Zephyr!
Outlining is the most satisfying part of the painting process! At least as long as my applicator doesn’t clog up!
Gotta love a good handle install! My favorite part is the initial stamp- it’s very satisfying!

My tiny teapots are functional, but without an air hole in the lid they don’t pour very well! XD
