My amazingly talented, brilliant wife Sahara Smith Sahara Smith is playing a songwriters showcase on Nov 8. I’m not so much inviting you as I am daring you NOT to go.
It’s going to be legitimately awesome. You should definitely check it out. Order tickets in advance at the link below to help them plan and budget. Thanks!

We at Solar Ship Studios are looking to score short films for filmmakers working on a tight budget (meaning practically all filmmakers). If you know someone who is looking for free music for their film or trailer, we’re willing to do that within a proper contract. Hit us up. We’re easy to work with and oh-so-artsy.

Speaking of being artsy, here’s a rough track from an upcoming score. The song is called called “The Reed Boats” and it’s inspired by some of the earliest boats, which drifted the currents of the Tigris and Euphrates thousands of years ago, made from the reeds that lined the banks of those two rivers. You might need to turn the volume down a bit - the program I used defaulted to max volume and there seemed to be no way to turn it down so it’s a little much.

Back in the saddle at Solar Ship Studios
with Aaron Dembe learning our way around string sample plug-ins for our current top secret project while still blocking out the music for the documentary on Muay Thai boxing. Livin in the groove. Thanks to Lang Freeman for helping us find a good sample pack.

Can anyone recommend a split-screen video app that DOESN’T require a subscription? I’m really annoyed with apps that are “free” if you want to download them and look at others’ content, but which require a subscription to post content that you’ve generated. It’s bonkers. I’m paying to generate content that others can watch for free?!? It’s like if artists had to pay a ton of money to make a record and then everyone expected to be able to listen to it for free! What kind of ass-backward world….oh…wait a minute…
But seriously though. If I want to make a video that’s 4 of me all playing a song in multiple parts and share it without paying a subscription, is there a way to do it?
