Today, on Mexico’s Independence Day, it feels especially meaningful to share something so close to my heart.

For the past six years, one of the greatest gifts of Origin Mexico has been the opportunity to travel through Mexico and experience the people, places and traditions behind the pieces I share with you.

I’ve met the people behind the work, learned about traditions passed down through generations and formed relationships that mean so much to me.

So many times, I’ve come home wishing I could bring you with me. Not only to see Mexico, but to experience what makes it so special.

In 2027, I finally will.

I’ll be hosting a small, thoughtfully curated journey to Oaxaca centered around its people, artistry, food and culture.

This journey has been made up of a lot of little moments.

Trips to Mexico. Meeting artisans and watching their families grow. Seeing how supporting handmade really can make a difference.

Learning as I go. Taking chances. Hearing no. Hearing yes. And slowly watching Origin Mexico grow into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

I’m really grateful for where we are now, and even more excited about where we’re going.
