What a thrill! I had a blast drawing and painting Luke, a friend’s dog. The exciting challenge was adding subtle whites to Luke’s face. Yaya!

Here’s another 8x8 canvas panel: a colorful sunflower with dots, featuring a slightly colored wash painting on the background using acrylic. How about that? It would look good with mat board along with a thin black frame.

Since I’ve made too many appointments with different doctors lately after our vacation from Europe, I’ve gotten in the mood to paint. There it goes! I hope it looks good just because I find it exciting and relaxing.

Celebrating the life of a kindred spirit I met through my daughter, with whom I shared a love for sunflowers and wine. Her passing has left a void, but her memory continues to inspire me, as reflected in my artwork combining sunflowers, zentangles, and wine. .raeee

Through meditation and painting vibrant canvases - including a serene palm tree with a beach and wine front, and lavenders with a butterfly 🦋 - I’ve uncovered a profound sense of inner peace, empowering me to tackle life’s challenges with renewed clarity and confidence. A customer asked me to paint a cute baby spider and webs on her 3x5 trailer last week. I started working on that project last Tuesday, using pencils and then painting until this morning. Yay, but it’s not complete until it’s sealed in a few days by a professional, as I suggested to my customer. She will have it done on Monday and show me the result with pictures afterwards. Can’t wait!

I happened to be in the mood to draw something natural, so I used watercolor pencils as a way to meditate.
